The U. Grant Miller Library is pleased to offer the following services to alumni of Washington & Jefferson College. Alumni Borrowing In order for alumni of Washington & Jefferson College to have borrowing privileges at U. Grant Miller Library, s/he must come to the Library to receive an alumni card. There is no charge for this card. Services available include borrowing material from the Library's collections. Please see the Library's borrowing policy for details. Materials made available for checkout include books, CDs, LPs, and plays. Current and bound periodicals are available for in-house use only. Alumni are welcome to visit The Learned T. Bulman '48 Archives & Museum and the Library's special collections. For hours, please see The Learned T. Bulman '48 Historic Archives & Museum. To register, contact the Circulation Desk at 724-223-6070. Reference Services Alumni may make use of the reference services provided by the Library's Reference Desk staff. Hours are posted at the Reference Desk or may be obtained by calling Circulation at 724-223-6070. The Ask-a-Librarian service provides online access to the Library's reference services. Remote Access Remote access to the Library's catalog is freely available via the Web. You can access it at http://unicorn.washjeff.edu. Remote access to the U. Grant Miller Library Digital Archives is also available free of charge. Other Library databases are available for research, but can only be accessed in the Library with the assistance of a Reference and Instruction Librarian. Photocopying You may use the coin-operated photocopying facilities. Interlibrary Loan We regret that the Interlibrary Loan service is only available to current faculty, staff, and students. We encourage you to use your local public library to obtain books and articles on Interlibrary Loan. |
