The ACS database includes 35 journals from 1996 to current. Updated weekly. A Legacy Archives database covers 23 journals with 460,000 full text articles from 1879 to 1995. The database also has the weekly Chemical & Engineering News from 1998 to current and is searchable and displays citations and table of contents. ArchiveGrid ArchiveGrid, a union catalog of archival collections, provides access to nearly a million collection descriptions and online archival finding aids of archival material from more than 2,500 libraries, museums, historical societies, and archives around the world. ArchiveGrid is an important destination for searching through historical documents, personal papers, and family histories. Users can obtain more information on many items in each of these collections, contact archives to arrange a visit to examine materials, and order copies.

- CAMIO CAMIO is the Catalog of Art museum Images online. Its collection ranges from 3000 BC to the present and includes about 95,000 works of art. Among these works, users can search through photographs, paintings, sculpture, decorative and utilitarian objects, prints, drawings and watercolors, jewelry and costumes, textiles and architecture - plus audio, video and mixed media.

- Chemical Abstracts via STN Easy In addition to Chemical Abstracts, STN offers 100 searchable files covering: biology, engineering, patents, physics, medicine (Medline), food, chemical inventory lists, material safety data sheets, and chemical toxicity. Access to STN Easy via an academic (non-business) account is restricted to the following hours: 1 am Sunday to 5 am Monday; 5 pm to 5 am the following day Monday through Friday; 5 pm Friday to 10 pm Saturday. Many files are updated weekly.
- ClasePeriodica Clase indexes documents published in Latin American journals specializing in the social sciences and humanities. Periodica covers journals in science and technology. - Consulta Ocenet Consulta provides full text information Spanish covering classical literature, dictionaries and other reference works, images, biographies, and journal literature. All content is provided in Spanish, while the search interface is available in either Spanish or English.
- Contemporary Authors Database This Gale database provides biographical and bibliographical information about 130,000 current U.S. and international authors of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, journalism, drama, motion pictures and television. Authors in the database include literary greats of the early 20th century, and authors from around the world whose works have been translated into English or published in the U.S. Search fields include: author name, subject or genre, full text, awards, nationality, and title of work. Variant names and pseudonyms used by an author are also searchable.
- Current Biography Illustrated Full text entries in this database offer more than 15,000 biographies and 9,400 obituaries with photographs from all of the volumes of Current Biography Yearbook. - EconLit (EBSCOhost) Database from the American Economics Association provides many full text articles (or links to the full text) in all fields of economics, including capital markets, country studies, economic forecasting, government regulations, labor economics and monetary theory. - Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition Full text of 550 scholarly journals focusing on many nursing and allied health, and medical disciplines. Also featured are abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals. This database also includes Lexi-PAL Drug Guide, which covers 1,300 generic drug patient education sheets with more than 4,700 brand names. Updated daily.
- Historical Abstracts Historical Abstracts covers the history of the world (excluding the United States and Canada) from 1450 to the present, including world history, military history, women's history, and history of education. The database provides indexing of more than 1,700 academic historical journals in over 40 languages back to 1955. Includes a link to Clio Notes with chronologies of international events arranged by historical time period and geographic area.

- Humanities International Complete This database provides full text of more than 1030 journals, books and other published sources from around the world. This database includes all data from Humanities International Index (more than 2,200 journals and 2.71 million records) plus unique full text content, much of which is not found in other databases. Most of the journals are covered from 1980 to present. The database includes brief author profiles and an online thesaurus for keyword searching. Click on the drop-down More menu on the search screen and choose Cited References to search for articles that cite a person's work.
- JSTOR (with embargos) Full online text of back issues of about 450 peer-reviewed journals as far back as the 1800s in the arts, sciences, ecology, botany, language, literature, and music. Note that the content of the most recent 3 to 5 years of some journals in JSTOR is not available to protect rights of content providers.
- Lexi-PALS Drug Guide This database from Lexi-Comp provides descriptions of more than 1450 medications and natural products for patients. Each entry is in question-and-answer format and includes intended medicinal purpose, possible side effects, and drug interactions. Lexi-PALS may be searched by pharmaceutical name or brand name. There are also 600 Spanish language leaflets representing the most subscribed and commonly used medications. The database is offered on EBSCOhost and is updated monthly.
- LexisNexis Academic Full text database of news, legal information, health and medical news, and noteworthy people in business and the news. Excellent source of business information including company stock quotes and charts, executives, SIC and NAIC codes, links to financials and Hoovers Company Records. Includes complete coverage of U.S. federal and state courts, and complete Shepard's Citations? service for all federal and states court cases back to 1789. Database covers 6,000 sources.
- MathSciNet The American Mathematical Society provides this searchable database of reviews, abstracts and bibliographic information for much of the mathematical sciences literature. Article reviews are in full text, but the articles are not. MathSciNet contains over 2.4 million items and more than 1 million links to articles from 1900 journals. It also offers bibliographic data from digitized articles dating back to the early 1800s. Search the database by author name, text of the review, article title, or journal name.
- MEDLINE National Library of Medicine's Medline offers abstracts from all areas of medicine, including dentistry, nursing, psychiatry, veterinary medicine, toxicology, and health service administration. Database covers 19,000 sources with 17 million records from 1950 to present. Updated daily.
- MLA International Bibliography Citations of journal articles, books and dissertations in literature, language and linguistics, folklore, literary theory and criticism, dramatic arts, and the historical aspects of printing and publishing. Database covers 4,400 international journals and 1,000 book publishers with 1.8 million citations from the mid 1920s to present.
- National Bureau of Economic Research Full text database of economics reports and working papers aimed at professional economists in academic institutions, business, and government. Offers unbiased reports with a focus on developing new statistical measurements assessing the economic effects of public policies, and projecting the effects of alternative policy proposals. NBER has a Macro History Database detailing business cycle expansion and contraction dates, and various other data sets. Documents date from 1921 to current.
- Newspaper Source Full text of 28 national and international newspapers, selected full text for more than 260 regional newspapers, and some full text television and radio news transcripts. Sources include: The Washington Post, The Times (London), New York Times (1989 to present) and Wall Street Journal (1995 to present). Television and radio news transcripts are provided from CBS News, CNN, FOX News, and NPR. Database coverage varies by newspaper with some beginning 2000 to present. Updated daily.
- Oceano Diccionarios This is a Spanish language dictionary resource produced by Oceano that includes more than 350,000 entries. It includes grammar descriptions and a dictionary of synonyms and antonyms. The search interface begins with either Spanish or English. Diccionarios also provides bilingual access with Spanish to English, French, German and Portuguese.
- Oceano Universitas Full text document database produced by Oceano that offers over 191,000 articles in Spanish, historical documents (mostly full text), an image gallery, biographies, maps, a timeline, anatomical atlases, interactive simulations and dictionaries. Universitas provides a selection of over 650 of the most significant works of world literature (complete texts and compilations), all in Spanish. Note that the search engine does not recognize accents, so a search for ?pera and opera will produce the same results.
- OCLC FirstSearch Collection of citation and abstract databases ranging from general reference collections to special, subject-specific databases. Files available include: WorldCat, Dissertations, ArticleFirst, PerAbs, ECO, WilsonSelectPlus, Ebooks, and SIRSResearcher. OCLC FirstSearch is a good starting point since it shows which files may be most relevant to your search keywords. After you view your FirstSearch results you can link to one of the eight databases above by clicking on the database name and clicking the Search button in that database.

- PapersFirst Citation index of papers presented at congresses, symposia, conferences, expositions, and meetings worldwide. Database includes 6.5 million records from 1993 to present. Updated twice a month.
- Philosopher's Index Database provides indexing and abstracts from books and journals of philosophy and related fields. It covers ethics, aesthetics, epistemology, logic, and metaphysics as well as material on the philosophy of disciplines, such as law, religion, science, history, and education. Covers 1940 to present.
- Points of View Reference Center POV Reference Center is a full text database designed to provide students with a series of controversial essays that present multiple sides of a current issue. The content serves as a guide to debate, developing arguments, writing position papers, and for development of critical thinking skills. Over 1,140 essays provide questions and materials for further thought and study and are accompanied by thousands of supporting articles from the world?s top political and societal publications. POV includes the Video Encyclopedia of the 20th Century, providing students with a searchable collection of some of the most important social, political, and cultural moments of the 20th century. Most of the publications and broadcast sources are covered from 1996 to present. Updated daily.
- Proceedings This database is a citation index of proceedings from congresses, symposia, conferences, expositions, workshops and meetings worldwide. Database has 192,000 records from 1993 to present. Updated twice a week.
- Project Muse: Basic Undergraduate Collection Project MUSE is a core Liberal Arts collection of heavily indexed and peer-reviewed journals in the humanities, arts, and social sciences. Database includes 340 full text journals from 80 scholarly publishers from 1995 to present for most sources.
- PROLA Physical Review Online Archive is the American Physical Society's online archive for Physical Review Letters, Reviews of Modern Physics, and Physical Review A-E. It contains full text of all APS journal articles published from 1893 to 2004. [Articles in the most recent four years to present are not part of PROLA, but you can view citations and abstracts of those articles.]
- PsycARTICLES Full text peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles from American Psychological Association journals. It includes all articles, book reviews, and letters to the editor from each journal. Database covers 63 journals (including 50 APA journals) with 134,000 articles from 1894 to present.
- PsycCRITIQUES Produced by the American Psychological Association this is a database of full text reviews of current scholarly and professional books in psychology. The database replaces the print journal Contemporary Psychology: APA Review of Books. Database comprises a searchable file of 40,000 reviews dating back to 1956. Updated weekly.
- PsycINFO Produced by the American Psychological Association this database contains citations and abstracts of journal articles, book chapters, books, dissertations and technical reports, in psychology, anthropology, nursing, education, psychiatry, medicine, pharmacology, and sociology. Database covers 2,100 journals in 25 languages with 2.3 million citations from 1887 to present. A feature of this database is cited reference searching in which you can search for articles that cite a person's work.
- Readers' Guide to Periodical Literature Provides abstracts of articles from 470 popular magazines as far back as 1983. Subject coverage includes arts, business, computers, education, entertainment, film and television, health and medicine, history, literature, news and current events, photography, music, politics, popular culture, science, and sports. Includes only a few peer-reviewed periodicals. Some articles have a link to full text in other databases or on a publisher website.
- Regional Business News Full text database that includes more than 80 regional business publications covering metropolitan and rural areas within the United States and Canada. Sources include regional newspapers, trade publications, newswires such as the Associated Press, and radio and TV news transcripts. Database includes more than a million articles. Most of these sources are in full text from 1996 to current.
- RILM Abstracts of Music Literature International Repertory of Music Literature (RILM) is a comprehensive music bibliography featuring citations, abstracts, and indexes. There are over 550,000 records in RILM on traditional music, popular music, and classical music, representing disciplines that include musicology, ethnomusicology, pedagogy, psychology, anthropology, sociology and others. All document types and media such as books, conference proceedings (going back to 1835), journal articles, dissertations as well as internet resources, sound recordings and motion pictures are included. RILM also features bilingual abstracts and all non-Roman scripts. Sound recordings and motion pictures that present the results of scholarly research or fieldwork are also included. - ScienceDirect Database covers about 2,600 peer-reviewed journals in medicine, health, life sciences, psychology, arts, humanities, education, business, economics, and social sciences. - SciFinder Scholar SciFinder Scholar retrieves information from databases produced by Chemical Abstracts Service. (New users, please register here) The SciFinder Substructure Module (SSM) feature provides substructure access to the chemical substance database. Database coverage includes: polymer science, food science, biology and life sciences, and GenBank numbers. The web version gives us access to: CAS REGISTRY - original source and final authority for CAS Registry Numbers - updated daily. CASREACT - chemical reactions including reactants, reagents, catalysts, and reference information. CHEMCATS - chemical source information with addresses and contact information. CHEMLIST - chemical regulatory information including national inventory status. MEDLINE - biomedical literature from 1950 to present. CAPlus - abstracts and links to scientific journals and patent literature. There is a Keep Me Posted for current awareness on topics of your choice. Our CAS contract gives us shared access with two other colleges. There may be brief time periods when we cannot access SciFinder because of this concurrent use.
